I am beyond excited and grateful to be running the Boston Marathon for The Mass Mentoring Partnership, Inc! This amazing charity connects mentors with young people, creating lasting relationships that help our youth thrive.
Mentorship has played a huge role in my life from a very young age. Whether I was coaching youth volleyball, nannying, captaining teams, or now participating in ALKU’s Futures leadership development program, mentorship has always been something I’ve committed to showing up for every single day. Mentorship has shaped who I am, how I lead, and the kind of community I try to build around me.
After growing up all over the U.S., I moved to Boston about 2.5 years ago. Watching my coworkers finish the marathon last year was one of the first moments I truly felt connected to this city. The energy at the finish made me feel like I belonged here. That moment is what inspired me to take on this challenge myself.
I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity, and I can’t thank you enough for your support.
Every donation, message, and bit encouragement means the world to me. Your donations will make a real difference in the lives of youth in our community, providing them with the support and encouragement they need to succeed!
Thank you so much!!! 💙

I am excited to kick off my fundraising campaign for The Mass Mentoring Partnership, Inc. As an official charity of the Boston Marathon, this organization empowers young individuals through mentorship programs that foster personal growth and development. Your donation will help provide these invaluable resources and opportunities to the youth in our community. Join me in making a difference one step at a time!
Hi, my name is Jeancarlo Muralles, and I’m a 19-year-old college student training to run the Boston Marathon in support of Mass Mentors.
I come from a family that didn’t have much growing up, and from an early age I learned what it means to push through challenges, adapt, and keep moving forward. Sports especially soccer became an outlet for me, teaching me discipline, resilience, and the power of showing up even when things feel hard. Those lessons have stayed with me far beyond the field.
Running the Boston Marathon is more than a personal goal for me. I’m running to give back and to support young people who deserve guidance, opportunity, and someone who believes in them. Through Mass Mentors, this fundraiser helps connect kids with mentors who can make a real, lasting difference in their lives.
I’m also running in protest against ICE and am supporting immigrant families and young people who face uncertainty, fear, and barriers simply because of who they are or where they come from. As someone who understands adversity and the importance of community support, this cause is deeply personal to me.
Every donation no matter the amount helps support mentorship, opportunity, and hope. Thank you for believing in me, supporting this journey, and helping make a difference one step at a time.

I am honored and excited to announce that I will be running the Boston Marathon in support of The Mass Mentoring Partnership, Inc.
Mentorship has shaped every meaningful step of my journey—from my medical training to the work I do today as a physician and mentor. At critical moments, mentors believed in me before I fully believed in myself, and that support changed my trajectory.
Today, I strive to pay that forward by mentoring residents, fellows, and college students aspiring to attend medical school—many of whom are navigating this path without role models who have gone before them. I have seen firsthand how a consistent, caring mentoring relationship can help young people build confidence, resilience, and a sense of possibility.
Mass Mentoring Partnership ensures that young people across Massachusetts have access to these life-changing relationships so they can grow into thriving, engaged adults. It would mean so much to have your support as I run Boston in honor of the mentors who shaped me and in support of the next generation.
Every donation—no matter the size—helps expand access to mentoring relationships and strengthens our communities. Thank you for being part of this journey.

I am honored to run the Boston Marathon on behalf of the Mass Mentoring Partnership because I have seen firsthand how consistent encouragement and guidance can change the trajectory of a young person’s life. As a mentor to student athletes, I’ve learned that mentoring is about far more than helping with academics or athletics, it is about showing up, listening, and helping someone recognize strengths they may not yet see in themselves. Those relationships have shaped me just as much as they have supported the students I’ve worked with. Running the marathon represents the same values that mentoring does: commitment, resilience, and community. Training for 26.2 miles requires patience and perseverance, qualities I try to model for the young people in my life. Fundraising for MMP allows me to translate those miles into meaningful opportunities for more youth to have caring adults in their corner. I am motivated to run for MMP because I believe every child deserves access to a mentor who can help them navigate challenges and imagine a bigger future. My experiences have shown me how powerful that connection can be, and I am proud to combine my passion for mentoring with the privilege of running Boston to help expand that impact across Massachusetts.
