Lunch and Learn: BLU Foundation Partner Spotlight
This June, in celebration of Pride Month, we will be welcoming and highlighting a partnering program with this specific focus in mind. The Boston LesbiGay Urban Foundation (BLU Foundation) is a Boston-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase awareness of and support for Boston’s QTBIPOC community through education and curating spaces with integrity and pride. One of their key initiatives is Boston Black Pride, which is a volunteer-driven initiative dedicated to curating pride-centric celebrations, culminating in an annual parade and festival. We unite the QTBIPOC community and allies, fostering empowerment, visibility, and joy while honoring our diverse identities and histories.
Check out their website and their vision: Our Vision at Boston Lesbigay Urban Foundation is to create safe spaces for events while providing ways to build long lasting relationships. We seek to break the cycle of dysfunction in marginalized communities making medical and mental health awareness a priority uplifting the voices of LGBTQ+ leaders, which will instill a sense of hope in the future for our black/brown/latino LGBTQ+ inner-city community.
Lunch & Learn Sessions meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month (unless holidays conflict) from 12-1pm. This is a time for folks to tune in while eating lunch. Join us to learn more about best practices, stay connected, and keep up with recent research, happenings, and tools. We welcome you as often as you can join us!
