DESCRIPTION:This immersive\, two-day workshop equips mentors and mentoring program practitioners to address many of the challenges Black and Latina girls and young women face today and provide them with the tools to help girls grow their community\, build their confidence\, and live the life they want. \n  \nThe workshop explores questions like: \nWhy focus on this population of young people? \nWhat challenges do Black and Latina girls/femmes face? \nHow do we take special care in establishing mentoring relationships with Black and Latina girls? \nHow do shared/disparate cultural experiences impact our mentoring relationships? \n  \nJune 17th 9am-3pm & June 18th 9am-3pm \n  \nThis training is for anyone who is in mentoring relationships with self-identified Black and Latina girls/femmes or the staff of organizations who support these mentoring relationships.
