SUMMARY:ASOST Supporting Immigrant Youth
DESCRIPTION:The Supporting Youth Immigrants Training aims to increase participants’ awareness and understanding of the unique challenges faced by immigrant youth in Massachusetts. With approximately one in five children being immigrants\, it is crucial for youth workers to be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to support this group effectively. This training will delve into the experiences of immigrant youth\, with a particular focus on the power of empowering relationships in supporting their emotional and social well-being. Participants will learn about the specific needs of immigrant youth and gain practical strategies to create inclusive and responsive programming that meets their needs. By the end of the training\, participants will have a better understanding of how to support immigrant youth and create safe and supportive spaces where they can thrive. \n  \nThis training is provided at no cost for ASOST grantees thanks to generous funding from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. \n  \nREGISTER
