Did you know Massachusetts state employees have paid leave time of up to eight hours a month to volunteer? Take advantage of this great opportunity to give back!
What is Mentoring Leave Time?
Mass Mentoring Partnership was one of the original agencies that worked with the Massachusetts Human Resources Division to expand the original volunteer leave program introduced in 1992 to incorporate youth mentoring. Employees can use up to eight hours a month of mentoring leave time to mentor a child during their work day. Most mentoring programs are school or site based, and mentors do anything from reading and art projects to just eating lunch and talking.
