Match Activities Week 2017
This year, Mass Mentoring Partnership celebrates 25 years of fueling the movement to expand empowering youth-adult relationships in Massachusetts!
Over the years, we have valued providing programs with opportunities for mentors and mentees to participate in activities they might otherwise not have access to. As we learned in our Mass Mentoring Counts report, Building Futures Through Relationships, relationships are the heart of youth programming and a focus on intentionality is key to the success of programs and their missions. These activities serve as a way for mentors and mentees to strengthen their relationships.
As we celebrate our anniversary throughout the year, we wanted to designate a special week of match activities for our program partners, mentors and mentees. From February 12-18, mentors and mentees will have unique opportunities to take part in sporting events and visit cultural institutions across Boston and beyond.
MMP has distributed over 1,000 tickets to mentoring programs and youth-serving organizations across the state from the following generous donors:
Boston College Eagles
Boston Children's Museum
Harvard Museum of Natural History
The Handel and Haydn Society
Disney on Ice
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
Institute of Contemporary Art
John F. Kennedy Presidential Library
Museum of Fine Arts
Museum of Science
Peabody Essex Museum
New Bedford Whaling Museum
Smith College Museum of Art
New England Aquarium
Museum of African American History
Throughout the week, matches and programs will be sharing pictures at their activities on social media, and you can follow along by searching the hashtag #MMP25Years! We will also be highlighting some posts throughout the week here on the blog. Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook.
We thank our friends at Bank of America for making Match Activities Week possible!
