Regina Pisa -- Pillar of Mass Mentoring Partnership

On February 28th, we held our 25th Anniversary Gala Celebration to honor individuals and organizations that have supported Mass Mentoring Partnership over the past quarter century. We honored our Four Pillars of Mass Mentoring, a group of people that created the foundation for our organization. Here is a profile of Regina Pisa, Pillar of Mass Mentoring Partnership, followed by a video tribute that was shown at the event.

Regina Pisa joined the Leadership Council and Governing Board of MMP in 2002 and has been a key figure in MMP’s leadership ever since. Her professional accomplishments helped shape her dedication to mentoring and MMP. Regina is the Chairman Emeritus of Goodwin where she led the firm as Chairman, and before that also as Managing Partner, for more than 16 years. She was the first woman to lead an AmLaw 100 law firm in the United States and one of the youngest executives—at age 42—to take the helm at the time of her appointment. Her commitment to Mass Mentoring includes serving as board chair from 2010 to 2014 and her guidance and support have helped the organization grow its impact across the state. She helped lead the CEO transition in 2012 and has been a key mentor and advisor to the past two CEOs serving as a thought partner, collaborator and key figure in MMP’s story of success. She also mobilized support for MMP in the legal community including at Goodwin Procter to create new opportunities for the organization on multiple fronts. Her commitment to mentoring and MMP has helped the organization reach its 25th year in a place of strength and firmly ready for its next chapter.

“Regina was the governing board chair when I became CEO at Mass Mentoring. She was a tremendous partner with me and helped me to be a better leader in ways she probably doesn’t realize. Her commitment to young people and giving back to the community is really a tremendous example for all of us.” MARTY MARTINEZ | MMP PRESIDENT & CEO

“Regina has the ability to be present like no one I’ve ever met which was uncanny especially with all of her commitments as the Managing Partner at Goodwin Procter when she was MMP’s board chair. Her listening, strength, empathy, and counsel are as good as any I’ve ever experienced." DAVID SHAPIRO | FORMER MMP CEO
