Recruiting more male volunteers and men of color is a common challenge faced by youth-serving programs. With many boys of color in need of a positive role model, it is imperative that programs take steps to ensure we are reaching adults that these young people can deeply connect with and see themselves in. Join us for this three hour training to examine strategies to recruit more male volunteers and volunteers of color. Participants will reflect on organizational practices to ensure that they are supportive of this volunteer group. We will examine best practices for outreach to male volunteers and volunteers of color and brainstorm ways to improve practices to support these individuals to better serve our young people.
