The ability to connect across culture is key to supporting empowering relationships. We must understand dimensions of identity and culture and the ways that prejudices and bias can hamper opportunities for connection. This interactive workshop provides mentoring and youth-serving program staff the opportunity to recognize and explore personal dynamics of power and privilege and develop strategies to increase cultural responsiveness to improve programming. Participants receive MMP’s Cultural Responsiveness II Workbook, which includes several tool and templates to support learning.

You’ll walk away with the ability to:

  • Understand the personal effect of power and privilege in your life
  • Develop strategies to communicate and connect across difference

This training is best for:

  • Program staff from youth-serving organizations
