For almost a decade, Mass Mentoring Partnership has organized Youth Mentoring Day at the State House to celebrate the mentoring field and honor supporters from across the Commonwealth. In honor of National Mentoring Month, we asked Massachusetts State Senator Linda Dorcena Forry to share her thoughts on mentoring and the effect that it has had on her life. Mass Mentoring Partnership is excited to join with the city of Boston and the Mayor's Mentoring Movement! Mayor Walsh's initiative seeks to recruit at least 1,000 new mentors and caring adults over the next two years, with at least 10% of those being City of Boston employees. Mass Mentoring Partnership is joining with the Mayor's office to help match these volunteer mentors with our program partners in Boston.  We have a new webpage on our site devoted to the Mayor's Mentoring Movement. "Throughout the year, Mass Mentoring Partnership has had the pleasure to work with Michael Delman and Kelly Robinson from Beyond BookSmart, an executive functioning coaching service operating in Boston, Rhode Island, Chicago and New York City. Mass Mentoring Partnership (MMP), a statewide organization fueling the movement to expand empowering youth-adult relationships in Massachusetts, announced it is investing nearly $400,000 to support quality mentoring through two-year Mentoring Matching Grants and support services to 31 mentoring programs throughout the Commonwealth. The funding stems from Gov. Patrick’s FY15 budget through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. BOSTON – Felix G.
