Across Massachusetts, over 3,000 youth are on the wait list to be matched with a mentor to help them reach their full potential. For over ten years, Mass Mentoring Partnership has joined the Rodman Ride for Kids - a day-long, non-competitive cycling tour - to help raise funds to support our mission to expand access to empowering relationships and connect these youth to caring adults across the state.
This year marks the 27th annual Ride, which will be held on Saturday, September 23rd. The Ride supports more than 250,000 kids each year through 52 affiliated organizations. Since its inception in 1991, the Rodman Ride for Kids has raised more than $122 million, and every dollar they have raised has gone directly to support young people. Team MMP has proudly been participating in the Rodman Ride for Kids since 2004. Over those years, our riders have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars that went to directly to helping create more empowering youth-adult relationships across Massachusetts.
You can help us carry out our mission by riding with Team MMP or by making a donation. Through a generous 3% match, 103% of the funds we raise for Ride Day go towards connecting youth to supportive role models.

3. Corporate Partner Spotlight: ALKU
MMP is lucky to have a strong group of corporate partners who are helping to advocate for the mentoring movement in their communities. One of the partners leading the charge is ALKU, an Andover-based staffing firm. With the leadership of CEO Mark Eldridge, ALKU has played an integral role in MMP's growth in recent years, and continues to pledge their support through The Rodman Ride for Kids.
On Ride Day, ALKU staff will join us at the starting line to cycle through southeastern Massachusetts in the name of empowering youth-adult relationships. Mark Eldridge also generously funds a $20,000 educational award, the ALKU Scholarship, to a rising high school senior each year to help them follow their academic pursuits. With ALKU's enthusiasm, dedication, and passion, they help us raise critical funds every year through the Rodman Ride, as well as grow our network of caring adults throughout the Commonwealth. You can join ALKU's support of Team MMP by attending Cheers to Mentoring on October 11th or donating to their riders!
