Headquartered in Boston, Mass Mentoring Partnership (MMP) is fueling the movement to expand quality mentoring for youth to meet the needs of communities across Massachusetts. MMP serves more than 200 mentoring programs statewide supporting 30,000 youth in mentoring relationships. MMP is a small staff working in a high leverage environment, mobilizing resources on behalf of mentoring programs diverse in target populations, geography, scope and organization development. Position Summary: 

MMP is seeking a passionate, mission-driven President and Chief Executive Officer with the experience and vision to lead the organization in the next chapter of its story.

High priorities for the next President and CEO include:

  • Preserving and enhancing the important relationships with key funders, sponsors and policymakers.
  • Cultivating and maintaining a strong public presence with diverse audiences, including policy makers, nonprofit and business leaders, and the general public to build powerful coalitions in support of the organization’s mission and goals.
  • Developing and implementing a fundraising strategy that supports MMP’s strategic direction and continues to diversify revenue streams.
  • Leading the development of the organization’s next strategic plan. By the end 2018, the organization will complete its current strategic plan, one that has resulted in an expanded reach, and increases in budget and staff.
  • Determining and implementing the appropriate staffing and infrastructure to support current operations and future growth.
  • Managing staff using best practices of accountability, priority setting, diversity, inclusiveness, and delegation; empowering staff to maximize their performance; and creating a fulfilling culture of continuous development and improvement.
Position Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent work and life experience will be considered; Master’s degree preferred.

At least 10 years of progressively responsible nonprofit senior leadership or management experience is sought, within either a high-performing direct service program, or intermediary nonprofit organization.

Responsibilities: 

The next President and Chief Executive Officer of MMP will be passionate and mission-driven, an outstanding communicator and a proven leader who is able to inspire and work effectively with staff, board members and multiple stakeholders. In addition to the strategic and operational acumen required of every nonprofit leader, this position requires the President and Chief Executive Officer to be a hands-on operational manager as well as fundraiser, community face of the organization, and relationship builder.
